The focus of this text is the developments in international fisheries law, occurring in the mid-1990s. Particular attention is paid to the United Nations Fish Stocks Agreement, although that is not immediately obvious from the layout of the book. Although there is much of value in this text, it is in general poorly organized and lacks balance in its approach. Nevertheless, it provides some useful insights into many of the processes that occurred in during the 1990s.
