Abstract
The
entry into force of the UN Fish Stocks Agreement has universally been welcomed.
However, a number of concerns remain about its ability to solve the high seas
fishing crisis. This article provides an overview of the Agreement, from an NGO
perspective, focusing on the general principles of conservation and the
precautionary approach.
