Christopher Hedley Christopher Hedley is a qualified barrister, based in the United Kingdom, and director of OceanLaw. He created the Internet Guide to International Fisheries Law in 1999 and now acts as the General Editor of the website and as the Editor-in-Chief of International Fisheries Law and Policy Review. In addition, Chris has considerable experience as a legal advisor and consultant and maintains extensive academic interests. Lecturer in Maritime Law at the University of Hull (United
Kingdom), where he is also a member of the McCoubrey Centre for
International Law. His
teaching interests cover public international law, the law of the sea and
admiralty law, while other research interests extend to the regulation of
coastal fisheries and other areas of the international law of the sea and
international environmental law.
Richard Caddell Richard Caddell is currently a lecturer in law at the University of Bangor, Wales. Formerly, he was Associate Professor of International Law and Director of Research at the International University, Tallinn, Estonia. Richard's main research interest is in international law and marine mammals and he is currently writing a doctoral thesis examining the legal responses to threats to cetacean survival. Richard's other research interests are based in maritime law, fisheries, protection of the marine environment and wildlife conservation law. He has published articles on the International Whaling Commission, as well as in the field of tort law. His most current research project is an evaluation of the protection of wildlife habitats under EU law. He was the co-founder of the Baltic Legal Research Centre and the Estonian Maritime Law Association and is Managing Editor of Baltic Maritime Law Quarterly.

Andrew Serdy
Andrew Serdy is an
Executive Officer in
Sea Law, Environmental Law and Antarctic Policy Section, Australian Department
of Foreign Affairs and Trade. He is also a Fellow at
the Centre for Maritime Policy, University of Wollongong, Australia and has presented papers
on fisheries law and the law of the sea at several international conferences and
published several articles in these fields.
