Abstract

     
Proceedings brought by the European Commission against Greece for failing to ensure that fishing vessels flying its flag were equipped with satellite position monitoring devices, as required under Article 3 of Council Regulation No 2847/93, as amended by Regulation No 686/97. The Court held that Greece had failed in implementing these obligations, which were required to be implemented by 1 January 2000.
