Current status
 

The Convention was signed by Cape Verde, the Gambia, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Mauritania and Senegal on 1 September 1993. On the same date, Mauritania and Senegal signed a Protocol on Methods of Coordination of Surveillance Operations, pursuant to Article 9 of the Convention. No information is available on the status of ratifications or entry into force of either instrument.
